PHOTON COUNTING TYPE X-RAY CT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform material discrimination with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A photon counting type X-ray CT apparatus comprises a data collection part, a determination part, a distribution part, and a generation part. The data collection part collects a first data group being counting data of each of plural first energy bands by distributing energy measured with a signal output by a photon counting type detector in accordance with incidence of an X-ray photon to any of the plural first energy bands. The determination part determines plural second energy bands obtained by grouping the plural first energy bands in accordance with discrimination object materials being discrimination objects in an imaging portion. The distribution part generates a second data group by distributing the first data group to any of the plural second energy bands. The generation part generates an image for the distribution of the discrimination object materials by using the second data group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
