PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device that can make first print time shorter and speed up a response to a host device while securing continuity of printing, and a method for controlling the same.SOLUTION: The printing device comprises a command analysing portion that analyses a received command, a drawing portion that generates image data on the basis of the analysed command, and a print executing portion that executes print processing according to the image data.
