PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor light emitting element in a light-emitting element using fluorescent emission and phosphorescent emission, which is advantageous to practical use.SOLUTION: A light emitting element includes a lamination structure consisting of a first light emitting layer containing host material and a fluorescent emission substance and a second light emitting layer containing two kinds of organic compounds forming an excited complex and a substance capable of converting triplet excitation energy into light emission. The light emitting element is more useful in which a peak of light emission spectrum of the light emission from the first light emitting layer exists closer to a short wavelength side than that of light emission from the second light emitting layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
