PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a light-diffusing lens, which can achieve efficient production of a high-quality light-diffusing lens with improved optical characteristics.SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing a light-diffusing lens includes: a pair of metallic molds 15 which is made up of a fixed die 16 and a movable die 18 and in which a cavity 22 for final molded article defining the shape of a light-diffusing lens 14 is formed; a mold clamping device 62 to which the pair of metallic molds 15 are attached; chuck means capable of moving forward/backward between the pair of metallic molds 15 in a mold-open state: a conveyance device 66 which inserts a semi-molded article 12 of the light-diffusing lens 14 into the cavity 22 for final molded article; a heating device 68 which has heating means capable of moving forward/backward between the pair of metallic molds 15 in the mold-open state, and heats a surface of the inserted semi-molded article opposing the fixed die 16 until a molten state; and an injection device which injects a molding material into the cavity 22 for final molded article after clamping the pair of metallic molds 15 such that the molding material covers a molten surface of the semi-molded article 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
