PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piece return device and a piece return method in which all of two or more booklets with a portion of booklets subjected to piece return by a piece return device can be arranged in the same direction quickly and easily, and thereby the productivity of the work in subsequent steps such as encapsulation sealing steps can be improved.SOLUTION: A piece return device 10 includes a mounting table 20 for mounting two or more booklets, and a pair of booklet holding units 30, 40 disposed separately to each other and provided with magnetism, respectively. At least one booklet holding unit (e.g., the booklet holding unit 40) is movable to the direction of coming close to the other booklet holding unit (e.g., the booklet holding unit 30) and the direction of spacing apart from the other booklet holding unit. Each of the booklet holding units 30, 40 is configured to attract a metal portion provided to a back cover of the booklet by a magnetic force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
