PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer maintenance device provided in a pinter to simultaneously install a dying prevention cover for many discharge ports arrayed in a sheet width direction and clean many discharge ports, and a printing device.SOLUTION: The printer maintenance device includes: a cover for covering, in an exposing manner, a discharge port of a printer having a discharge port for discharging ink and configured to print an image on a sheet by discharging the ink from the discharge port; a wiping-off member 531 brought into contact with the discharge port to wipe out the ink from the discharge port when moved to a first position facing the discharge port; a biasing member for biasing the wiping-off member 531 to a first posture to be brought into contact with the discharge port during the movement to the first position; a cleaning part having a cleaning device moved via the first position; and a posture changing part brought into contact with the cleaning device moved to a second position shifted from the first position to change the posture of the wiping-off member 531 to a second posture not interfering with the covering of the discharge port with the cover.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 19 |
