Provided is a connector capable of accommodating changes in the number of poles without requiring a structural modification to a counterpart connector. A housing (11) in which terminal metal fittings (12) which can be electrically connected to tab-shaped terminals (52) are housed comprises: a main housing (11M) which has a locking structure (21) for locking to the counterpart connector (50); and a plurality of types of sub-housing (11S) which have different numbers of poles and which can be selectively combined with the main housing (11M). The main housing (11M) and a sub-housing (11S) are combined together by connecting side surfaces thereof to each other. Formed in a connection part of the combined housing (11) are tab insertion grooves (25) into which the tab-shaped terminals (52) are inserted when the connector is fitted to the counterpart connector (50).
