PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for selecting a public data source.SOLUTION: The present invention is a method for selecting a public data source by dynamically ranking public and available data sources with regard to some search item and including a plurality of ranking processes executed on the dataset of each data source, the method including the steps of: ranking the dataset by comparing the search item for dataset information about each source using metadata for each dataset; generating a tentative ranking list of the data source on the basis of the metadata ranking; measuring availability about each data source and the updating the tentative ranking list on the basis of availability; executing the instance-based ranking of the dataset at each data source on the basis of adaptability to the search item and finalizing the ranking list; and selecting one or a plurality of data sources using the finalized ranking list.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
