PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of a state in which, when the stored content of a storage unit in a standby information processing device cannot be updated, an active information processing device becomes unable to execute the process designated by a new request signal received thereafter from a client terminal.SOLUTION: An active information processing system 30 comprises a first storage unit 32, and a control unit 31 which, when the request signal received from a client terminal 20 is an update request signal, updates the stored content of the first storage unit 32 as designated by the update request signal, and transmits an update instruction signal instructing that the same updating as the update made be performed, to a standby information processing device 40. Even when an update complete notification signal indicating that the updating of the stored content of a second storage unit 42 in the standby information processing device 40 has been completed is not received from the standby information processing device 40 within a prescribed time after a point of time when the update instruction signal was transmitted, the control unit 31 executes the process designated by a new request signal received thereafter from the client terminal 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
