PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in amount of droplets between low-frequency driving and high-frequency driving without complicating a configuration.SOLUTION: A common driving signal Vcom includes, time-sequentially, a droplet adjusting wave pulse P1 at a head, and a discharge pulse P3 disposed at the end to discharge droplets, the droplet adjusting wave pulse P1 has a waveform in which the rear end of a liquid column at the time of discharging droplets from a nozzle at the discharge pulse P3 of a last driving cycle is torn off, the droplet adjusting wave pulse P1 is selected at the cycle of selecting the discharge pulse P3, the droplet adjusting wave pulse P1 is not selected at the cycle of not selecting the discharge pulse P3, this is a waveform reducing the amount of droplets compared with the amount of droplets discharged only from the discharge pulse P3 in which no droplet adjusting wave pulse P1 is applied at a cycle next to the droplet discharge cycle of the discharge pulse P3, and the amount of droplets discharged at the discharge pulse P3 in which the droplet adjusting wave pulse P1 is applied at a cycle next to the droplet discharge cycle of the discharge pulse P3 is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
