PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cyclic ether arylsulfonate having optical activity simply and selectively by using a racemic mixture which can be obtained at a low cost, as a raw material.SOLUTION: A method for producing a cyclic ether arylsulfonate comprises reacting a racemic mixture of hydroxymethyl cyclic ether with an arylsulfonic acid halide in the presence of an optically active bisoxazoline ligand, a Lewis acid compound, a base, and an organic solvent to obtain a cyclic ether arylsulfonate having optical activity. As the hydroxymethyl cyclic ether, glycidol or 2-hydroxymethyltetrahydrofuran is preferable.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
