PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a token sorting apparatus that can reliably perform communication and selection with an IC token and never causes delay of processing even if continuously inserted, and provide the IC token for use in the token sorting apparatus.SOLUTION: A token sorting apparatus includes: a storage part for storing the inserted token; a token receiving part capable of receiving the tokens stored in the storage part by one piece; a rotating disk for feeding the tokens received in the token receiving part to a predetermined position; a communication part 50 provided in a path to the predetermined position; a communication device 43 provided in the vicinity of the communication part 50; a motor for rotationally driving the rotating disk; a token passage for guiding only the token discharged from the token receiving part to a fixed direction in the predetermined position; a selection excluding device 39 for excluding the token from the token passage; and motor drive control means for controlling the drive of the motor.
