The present invention relates to a data packet processing method using LED communication in a vehicle based on the WAVE communication, and a device thereof. According to the present invention, the data packet processing method using LED communication includes: a step of receiving a visual light signal transmitted from a lamp of an adjacent vehicle or an adjacent roadside device located at the front side or at the rear side of a vehicle through a camera of the vehicle, and detecting ID information included in the visual light signal; a step of receiving data packets transmitted wirelessly based on the WAVE communication from the adjacent vehicle or the adjacent roadside device within a certain signal range; a step of inserting and arranging the received data packets into a priority queue and giving the first priority to a data packet corresponding to the ID matched to the detected ID information; and a step of decoding the data packets arranged in the priority queue in a way that the first priority data packet comes first. According to the present invention, if there is a data packet with the same ID as the detected ID information received through LED communication among WAVE data packets received from the outside, the first priority is given to the data packet and decoded first. By doing so, the data packet which is highly likely to include relatively urgent information can be processed first and quick response to emergency around is possible. Therefore, various damages can be minimized. |
