Provided are a finned tubular heat sink having cooling fins coupled to a tube, and a method to manufacture the same. According to the present invention, the finned tubular heat sink comprises: a plurality of cooling fins, a tube, and a plurality of contractile rings. The cooling fins have a through hole, a collar extending a side from an edge of the through hole, and a sloping part formed around the through hole and sloped with respect to a central axis of the through hole. The cooling fins are stacked such that the central axis of the through holes are aligned. The tube is inserted in the through holes of the respective cooling fins, and the outer circumferential surface thereof has a shape adapted to make contact with the collars. The contractile rings are provided with a bore, into which the collar of each of a plurality of cooling fins is inserted, and a pair of customized sloping surfaces are formed on both sections thereof at a same angle as the sloping parts to contact the sloping parts of neighboring cooling fins among the cooling fins. The contractile rings are mounted to press the collars of the respective cooling fins by residual stresses. According to the present invention, the contractile rings expanded before the tube is fitted are contracted after the tube is fitted, and the contractible rings press the collars of the cooling fins; thereby keeping the collars in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the tube. As such, the occurrence of thermal contact resistance caused by a failure in contact between the cooling fins and the tube is prevented. |
