PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably perform an image processing for improving reproductivity of an edge for an image in which a translucent object is existed.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: first determination means that determines whether or not a target pixel in an input image is a pixel forming an edge; second determination means that determines whether or not the target pixel in the input image is the pixel forming a translucent object; and first image processing means, when determining that the target pixel is the pixel forming the edge and is also not the pixel forming the translucent object, that performs a first image processing for improving edge reproductivity to the target pixel, and, when determining that the target pixel is the pixel forming the edge and is also the pixel forming the translucent object, that suppressed the performing of the first image processing to the target pixel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
