PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of minimizing degradation of optical characteristics caused by reflected return light at an incidence/emission surface.SOLUTION: An optical connector 1 has a plurality of light incidence/emission parts 10 and a ferrule 20, and is for making an optical connection with a mating optical connector. Each of the light incidence/emission parts 10 comprises a waveguide member 11 having a first optical axis, and a GRIN lens 12 which has a second optical axis, is connected to an end of the waveguide member 11 at one end, and has an incidence/emission surface 10a at the other end 12b, where the second optical axis is offset from the first optical axis at the end of the waveguide member 11, and the incidence/emission surface 10a is non-orthogonal to an optical axis of a light beam exiting from the incidence/emission surface 10a and to an optical axis of a light beam entering the incidence/emission surface 10a. The ferrule 20 has guide parts 25, 26 for making an optical connection with a mating optical connector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
