The present invention comprises: a printing cylinder which conveys sheets; a drive device (41) which drives the printing cylinder; an encoder (44) which detects the phase of the printing cylinder; and first to fourth inkjet heads (23-26) which print onto the sheets. The present invention comprises: a floating sensor (22) which opposes the printing cylinder and senses abnormalities in the sheets; a display (8); and a control device (28) which controls the operation of the drive device (41). The control device (28) has a function for stopping the drive device (41) when the floating sensor (22) has sensed a floating part. On the basis of the phase of the printing cylinder when the floating sensor (22) has sensed a floating part and on the basis of the phase of the printing cylinder when the drive device (41) has stopped after floating sensing, the control device (28) calculates information with which the positions of locations where abnormalities have occurred can be specified. The control device (28) has a function for displaying this information on the display (8). Provided is a digital printer which is capable of quickly specifying locations where sensed abnormalities have occurred during printing. |
