The purpose of the present invention is to provide a scanning optical device that is inexpensive and assures high productivity while suppressing stray light. In a mirror unit (MU1) according to the present invention, a reflective film (RM) is formed on a base material (ST1), which is a non-transparent material; therefore, stray light is effectively suppressed because light passing through the reflective film (RM) is absorbed within the base material (ST1) and does not leak outside of the base material (ST1). |
