A method of manufacturing a tube sheet by forming a plurality of separate thin tube sheet segments (1-6); forming multiple holes (11) in each sheet (1-6) in a predetermined pattern, each hole (11) for accommodating a tube sheet filter tube (8); aligning all of the plurality of tube sheet segments (1-6) so that the hole pattern of each sheet (1-6) aligns with the hole pattern in all other sheets of the plurality of tube sheet segments (1-6); and securing all of the tube sheet segments together to form a unitary tube sheet. A tube sheet construction that includes a plurality of separate thin tube sheet segments (1-6), multiple holes (11) being provided in each sheet (1-6) in a predetermined pattern, each hole (11) for accommodating a tube sheet filter tube (8), all of the tube sheet segments (1-6) being aligning so that the hole pattern of each sheet aligns, and fasteners (12) for securing all of the tube sheet segments (1-6) together. A media (10) layer is provided between adjacent sheet segments (1-6). |
