FIELD: pharmaceutics.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of extracting essential oil from medicinal plant material. Method consists in that batch of milled medicinal plant raw material is placed between two mesh electrodes of stainless steel, which is immersed into a container with purified water at room temperature in a volume required for complete submersion of electrodes, and during 30-40 minutes is mixed to swelling material, then volage of 5 V is applied to external contacts of electrodes from an AC generator with frequency of 3.16*10Hz and extracted for 30-60 minutes under continuous stirring to extract essential oil in form of above-water phase.EFFECT: method increases amount of essential oil recovered from medicinal plant raw material at room temperature, with preservation of native structure of molecules.3 cl, 1 tbl, 2 ex
