PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic silicon powder excellent in powder operability of metallic silicon and dispersibility into resins and a resin composition containing the metallic silicon powder.SOLUTION: A metallic silicon powder is a powder in which silica fine particles are adhered to the surface of a metallic silicon powder and a resin composition containing the metallic silicon powder. The silica fine particles consist of hydrophobic spherical silica fine particles (1) which are produced by a method comprising (A1): a step of obtaining a hydrophilic spherical silica fine particle composed essentially of SiOunits; (A2) a step of introducing RSiOunits into the surface of the hydrophilic spherical silica fine particle; and (A3) a step of introducing RSiOunits into the surface of the hydrophilic spherical silica fine particle, and have particle sizes of 0.005-1.0 μm, a value of the particle size distribution D90/D10 of 3 or smaller and an average circularity of 0.8-1. |
