PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a single disk constituting a disk array, without losing data stored in a disk to be removed and while holding redundancy, by copying the data to free space in another disk without a partition constituting the same redundancy group as that of a copy source partition.SOLUTION: A disk controller 1 determines a copy source partition and a copy destination partition of information stored in a disk device to be removed, by referring to a management table 4 associated with a position of a partition of disk devices 6, information for identifying the partition, and information for identifying a redundancy group of the plurality of disk devices, and copies the information stored in the copy source partition to the copy destination partition. |
