<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a shape in the vicinity of a fused/cut end face satisfactorily by controlling a gap between the fused/cut end faces when fuse-cutting a thin plate glass with irradiation heat of a laser beam. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method of cutting a thin plate glass by irradiating with laser beams, a cutting part C of a glass substrate G with ≤500 μm thickness, wherein a minimum gap is controlled to satisfy the relation of 0.1≤b/a≤2, when the thickness of the glass substrate is a, and the minimum gap between fused/cut end faces Ga1 and Gb1 of the glass substrate facing each other at the cutting part C is b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
