The present invention relates to a coffee press that, with ground coffee placed in the bottom section inside, can be placed on the top of a container such as a coffee mug and a cup so that when a user pours water therein and performs pressing, coffee liquid is discharged through filter paper and drops into the container to be ready for consumption; and that allows the user to enjoy fresh-tasting coffee. The coffee press comprises: an outer housing including a step-like element on its underside to be mounted on the opening of a cup or glass; an inner housing located within the outer housing and including a space unit that temporarily holds water; a connecting element for connecting the outer housing and the inner housing; a drain space formed between the outer housing and the inner housing to be used as a passage that discharges coffee when coffee is being drunk, and used as a space for reducing an internal pressure generated during coffee extraction; a drain opening formed through the connecting element and connected to the space unit; a cartridge mounting element on which coffee can be mounted below the inner housing; a plunger assembly including a plunger, a handle and a rod wherein the plunger is configured to be inserted into the inner housing to press coffee and the rod is configured to connect the plunger and the handle. |
