<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which a contact time when a stator is contacted with coolant is secured, heat of the stator is sufficiently transferred to the coolant, and deterioration of cooling efficiency can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine includes a wide projection 222g formed on a radial external peripheral surface 222c of an annular stator 222 supported by a motor case 21 supporting a rotor shaft (input axis) 24 substantially in a horizontal state. The wide projection 222g has a prescribed dimension in a circumferential direction based on a central part L2 in a vertical direction of the stator 222 and extends in an axial direction. The wide projection 222g narrows a gap size of an annular clearance 26 disposed between an inner peripheral surface 213b of the motor case 21 and the radial external peripheral surface 222c of the stator 222 in which coolant flows down by its own weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
