A surgical stapling apparatus comprising a cartridge assembly (20) configured to hold a plurality of sets of surgical fasteners. Tthe cartridge assembly has a support channel (204) for receiving staple cartridges (206, 208) spaced apart to define a central longitudinal slot 252. The staple cartridges have retention slots (230) to receive a plurality of pushers (108) and surgical fasteners (110). The staple cartridges have magazines (244). Each magazine has a plurality of fasteners (110) and a biasing member (246) to bias the fasteners toward one of the retention slots. |
