The present invention relates to a method for upgrading and a device and an apparatus thereof, and belongs to the field of computer technology. The method includes: detecting (101) whether an application in a first router apparatus of at least two router apparatuses needs to be upgraded; when the application in the first router apparatus needs to be upgraded, acquiring (102) an upgrade file necessary for the application to be upgraded through a communication link between a second router apparatus of the at least two router apparatuses and the server; and sending (103) the upgrade file to the first router apparatus. In the present invention, the terminal acquires the upgrade file necessary for the application to be upgraded through the communication link between the second router apparatus and the server without consuming flow of a communication card in the first router apparatus. |
