A method of manufacturing a paper machine fabric, comprising the steps of:
a. applying to the face side surface of said fabric a layer of polymer in either yarn, film particle or other solid form, said polymer having a glass transition temperature (TG) of between about -40 degrees Celsius (°C) and about 15 °C,
b. securing the surface layer to the base and/or a batt layer by needle punching. Also a pmc fabric produced by said method. |
