The method involves operating a dialysis machine in a hemodialysis or a hemodialysis filtration process. The dialysis machine is sequentially switched in the hemofiltration process. A dialysis side of a downstream dialyzer- or measurement units i.e. sensors (14a, 14b), for determining concentration of ultrafiltrate of uremic toxins corresponding measurement signals is output to calculation- or determination units, which are representative of actual concentration of the uremic toxins in blood. Absorbance is determined as a measure for the concentration of the uremic toxins. An independent claim is also included for a dialysis machine. |
