FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing α-terpineol, which can be used in manufacturing of perfume compositions, as well as a component of flavouring agents at production of detergent and cleaning agents. In disclosed method α-terpineol is prepared from technical terpineol obtained by hydration of sulphate α-pinene, crystallisation followed by separation of precipitated crystals.
