The invention relates to a hair styling aid (1), in particular for curling hair. The hair styling aid (1) comprises a housing, the housing having guide means for receiving a length of hair to be styled and for guiding the length of hair into the housing, a rotatable element (20) is rotatable relative to the guide means, and an elongate member (36) around which, in use, the length of hair is wound by the rotatable element, at least part of the elongate member being in the housing. The guide means includes a slot (16) in the housing (6), the slot being defined by housing surfaces and by which the length of hair is received in the housing. The rotatable element (20) has a hair-engagement part extending further outwards from the elongate member than the innermost extent of the slot. |
