Embodiments of the present invention provide a mobility management method, equipment, and system, which relate to the field of wireless communications technologies. The method includes: receiving, by a target eNB, a handover request sent by UE through a source eNB, where the handover request is used to hand over the UE from the source eNB to the target eNB; and sending original configuration information and updated configuration information to the UE, so that the UE performs a handover operation through the original configuration information or the updated configuration information selected from the received original configuration information and updated configuration information. In the present invention, a target eNB sends original configuration information and updated configuration information to UE, so that the UE performs a handover operation through the original configuration information or the updated configuration information selected from the received original configuration information and updated configuration information, thereby alleviating a problem, caused by a change of configuration information in a handover process, that the UE fails to be handed over and a handover delay is increased, and further improving handover performance. |
