Dislcosed is a surge protection device (10, 110) for an outdoor lighting fixture that includes a live connection (23A, 123A), a neutral connection (23B, 123B), and a ground connection (23C, 123C). A first varistor (42) and a second varistor (43) may be electrically connected to one another in a series connection between the live and neutral connections and a third varistor (41) electrically connected between the live and neutral connections in a parallel configuration with the first varistor and the second varistor. A surge arrestor (46, 146) may also be electrically connected between the ground connection (23C, 123C) and the series connection between the first varistor and the second varistor. |
