A thermal treatment process of a ferrous alloy sheet (1) comprising the step of performing a thermal treatment on said sheet (1) when running, by immersing it into at least one molten oxides bath (4, 16), characterized in that: said molten oxides bath (4, 16) has a viscosity between lower than 3.10-1 Pa.s, the surface of said bath (4, 16) being in contact with a non-oxidizing atmosphere, said molten oxides being inert towards iron, the difference between the temperature of said ferrous alloy sheet (1) at the entry of the bath (4, 16) and the temperature of said bath (4, 6) being between 25° C and 900° C; and the residues of oxides remaining on the surfaces of said ferrous alloy sheet (1) at the exit of said bath (4, 16) are eliminated.
