发明名称 Improvements in resilient tubular coverings
摘要 505,013. Insulating conductors and joints. RENDLE, V. Oct. 1, 1937, Nos. 26548/37 and 23202/38. [Classes 36 and 38 (i)) [Also in Groups XV, I, XIII, and XIV] A device for insulating members such as pail handles, ladder rungs, railings, hand rails, hand grips of control fevers or tools, and electrical conductors comprises a resilient tube 41, Fig. 3, which is slit, as by a zigzag out, to provide along each margin spaced projections 43 which are interdigitated with one another, apertures 44 being formed in all the projections to receive a wire or rod threaded therethrough. The tube may be thickened externally at 42, or internally, adjacent to the projections. The device may be in two parts 81, 82, Fig. 5, the lower parts being joined by the method of Fig. 3 and the upper parts having undercut grooves to receive projections on a locking number 87. Fig. 11 shows a device for spacing two parallel members passed through bores 141, 142, and Fig. 13 shows a tube to embrace a stanchion and having a lug 162 formed with apertures 168 to support wires or pipes, slits 164 being provided to enable the wires to be inserted in the apertures. 'Other modifications include a T- shaped device comprising two L-shaped pieces joined together and to a cross piece, a tube with a flange for fixing to a wall &c., a device formed of two complementary parts providing apertures for separating or supporting wires &c., and a tube having interengaging projections like those of a sliding-clasp fastener.
