According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system for evaluating image based structure safety comprises: a marker image obtaining unit configured to obtain a marker image which photographs markers attached to a surface of a structure; a marker coordinate calculating unit configured to calculate coordinates of the markers in the marker image respectively; a shape function determining unit configured to determine a shape function by spline-interpolation based on the calculated marker coordinates; and a safety evaluating unit configured to calculate a deformation rate or stress of the structure based on a curvature radius calculated in each location on the determined shape function to evaluate safety of the structure.
