PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device which is advantageous for compactly installing a desulfurizer on which a desulfurization agent achieving good desulfurizing ability in a temperature region higher than a normal temperature region is mounted.SOLUTION: A desulfurizer 700 facing an outer wall surface of a main heat insulation layer 600 is provided for receiving heat from a power generation module 200. It is preferable that the desulfurizer 700 includes: a substrate 710 facing the outer wall surface of the main heat insulation layer 600 of the power generation module 200 so as to contact with or be located close to the outer wall surface; a container 720 fixed to a second surface 712 of the substrate 710; and a desulfurization agent housed in the container 720.
