METHOD OF IDENTIFYING SURFACE OF SEA CURRENTS ON CO-POLARISATION SATELLITE RADAR IMAGES

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.SUBSTANCE: double-polarisation radar images are transformed into two new images carrying information on the spectrum of short Bragg waves and breaks of wind waves. The value of the divergence of currents, as well as longitudinal and transverse dimensions thereof, is determined via combined processing of the obtained images.EFFECT: enabling the determination of characteristics of surface sea currents at any point in the World Ocean with any illumination or cloud cover.
