The invention aims to provide a screen printing machine and a screen printing method, preventing a condition that when a scraper blade is removed from a mask, paste lift by the scraper blade falls down and then is involved with air when a later scraper blade (16b) slides. After a base plate (2) is contacted with a mask (14), the scraper blade (16b) is abutted against the mask (14) and moves in the horizontal direction, so that the scraper blade (16b) is enabled to slide on the mask (14) so as to scrape paste (Ps) together, and opening parts (14h) of the mask (14) are filled with the paste (Ps) to subject to paste (Ps) to transfer print on the base plate (2). In the above mentioned screen printing, when the scraper blade (16b) is moving in the horizontal direction relative to the mask (14), the scraper blade (16b) is enabled to rise relative to the mask (14), and the scraper blade (16b) is forbidden to move in the horizontal direction when the mask (14) is removed. |
