The invention provides methods of relieving side effects associated with administration of a chloride channel activator by co-administration with an opioid antagonist. The invention also provides methods of enhancing the effect of the chloride channel activators in treating the gastrointestinal disorder, such as constipation, while attenuating adverse side effects, such as nausea and emesis. |
