The injection valve (100) comprises a housing, which has a spray opening, and a valve needle linearly moving in the housing. The valve needle closes the spray opening in the primary end position and allows maximum flow of fuel through the spray opening in the secondary end position. An actuator is provided for moving the valve needle between the two end positions. The valve needle is braked to the stop-free end position and rests in the secondary end position at any stop. A brake unit is provided for non-impact braking of the valve needle in the secondary end position. |
