The invention provides a method for designing a receiver module, comprising:
- computing a channel matrix H characterizing a relationship between the transmitted optical signal x and a plurality of detected signalsy, for a transmission system comprising a receiver module and at least one transmitter, such that: y=Hx+w, wherein w represents noise,
the receivers being arranged regularly around the axis such that their centers are located at an intersection of a cylinder and a coaxial cone, and their normal directions are perpendicular to the cone,
- calculating a parameter as a function of H, and storing in a data repository the calculated parameter in association with an elevation angle,
selecting an elevation angle within the elevation angles stored in the data repository as a function of the associated calculated parameters. The invention also provides a method for designing a transmitter module. |
