The housing (18) has a cooling system (20), cooling channels through which cooling fluid flows, and vertical channels (26, 28) for cooling medium e.g. gaseous medium, which flows around an electric machine (10), where the housing accommodates the electric machine and the cooling system and forms hermetic encapsulation. A part of one of the cooling channels rest on a surface of windings (19) of the electric machine. The cooling channels are formed by individual pipes and by a corrugated structure made of metal, plastic, corrugated sheet or corrugated glass. |
