The present invention relates to a method for demagnetizing a vessel by using a vessel demagnetization system integrated with a degaussing apparatus. According to the present invention, the vessel demagnetization system integrated with the degaussing apparatus includes: a sensor unit; a coil unit including multiple vertical coils arranged on predetermined locations within the vessel for degaussing and demagnetization thereof, multiple longitudinal coils, multiple horizontal coils, and a main coil; a power supply unit, and a control unit. The method includes: a step in which the control unit determines whether the vessel is in a degaussing mode or a demagnetization mode; a step in which the control unit determines whether the direction of the vessel is magnetic north when the vessel is in the demagnetization mode; a step in which the control unit analyzes the terrestrial magnetic field from a sensing signal when the direction of the vessel is magnetic north; a step in which the control unit calculates a terrestrial magnetic field compensating current and a predetermined demagnetization current to be applied to each of the longitudinal coils and the main coil in order to demagnetize the permanent magnetic component of the vessel; and a step in which the control unit controls the power supply unit to apply the terrestrial magnetic field compensating current and predetermined demagnetization current calculated in advance to the respective main coil and longitudinal coils. |
