The present invention provides a device and a method for coupling umbrella ribs and umbrella cloths, wherein umbrella ribs and umbrella cloths may be simply assembled and long lifespan of umbrella cloths and improvement of umbrella production efficiency may be promoted. The device comprises a pair of connection members (11) neighboring and opposed to each other. Each of the connection members (11) comprises: a first side extending unit (111) extending in an axial direction which is a direction along an axial line (L) connected with an umbrella raw cloth (200); a second side extending unit (112) extending along an axial line direction at an interval of a vertical direction which is a direction crossing at a right angle with the axial line direction with respect to the firs side extending unit (111); and an intermediate unit (113) protruding from the first side extending unit (111), and extending towards the second side extending unit (112) to cover a hinge member (120). The second side extending unit (112) with respect to the opposed connection members (11) is attached to wrap the hinge member (120). |
