Disclosed are a motor control apparatus and a control method thereof. In the motor control apparatus for driving a motor used in an electronic brake system, the motor control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a switching part for supplying a battery voltage to the motor by a motor driving signal; a pre-driver part for outputting the motor driving signal to the switching part; and a micro control unit which controls the pre-driver part to output the motor driving signal to the switching part from the pre-driver part while the motor is driven, and controls the pre-driver part so that a frequency of the motor driving signal is randomly changed while the motor driving signal is outputted. The motor control apparatus and the control method thereof can reduce operation noise of a solenoid valve. |
