1. An image processing apparatus for processing captured image data read from an image capturing unit and to be displayed on a display unit, the apparatus comprising:
a non-transitory memory device; a processor; an input unit configured to input a first part of the captured image data read from the image capturing unit in accordance with a first reading mode and a second part of the captured image data read from the image capturing unit in accordance with a second reading mode; and a processing unit configured to process the first part of the captured image data input by the input unit with a strength depending on the first reading mode such that the first reading mode used for reading the first part of the captured image data from the image capturing unit is visually distinguishable, wherein the input unit and the processing unit are implemented at least in part by the processor executing at least one program recorded on the non-transitory memory device.
