Described is a method for machining a workpiece formed by a titanium-based material by using a machining device. The method comprises a step of providing a conductive electrode included in a spindle assembly in a previously selected distance and position to a titanium-based workpiece while electrically powering the electrode and the workpiece to a power supply. In the process, a fluid electrolyte circulates through two or more routes in the machining device, which are the inner and outer conduits of the spindle assembly. A charging electrode is moved to the workpiece through a plunging motion to remove a material from the workpiece at a comparatively high speed by using a high-speed electro-erosion (HSEE) process. |
