The present invention relates to an energy management system using a redox flow battery, capable of supplying partial power by the redox flow battery not only when a power failure occurs, but also when an electrical grid is in a normal state. The energy management system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: the redox flow battery for supplying power to a plurality of loads having a general load and a critical load; and a control unit for controlling power supplied to the plurality of loads by the redox flow battery and the electrical grid, wherein the control unit controls to charge or discharge the redox flow battery by an amount which exceeds predetermined predictive power among entire chargeable power of the redox flow battery when the electrical grid is in the normal state. According to the present invention, the energy management system can supply partial power by the redox flow battery not only when the power failure occurs, but also when the electrical grid is in the normal state and thus more efficient and economical energy management is possible. |
