The present invention relates to an anticancer composition containing Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larva or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient. In addition, the present invention further relates to a method for producing a fraction derived from Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larva having anticancer effects, which comprises the followings: a first step of sterilizing the Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larva under a high pressure, freeze-drying the same, and pulverizing the same; a second step of mixing the pulverized Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larva powder obtained from the first step along with ethanol so as to produce a Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis ethanol extract; and a third step of obtaining the fraction by sequentially fractionizing the Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis ethanol extract produced from the second step by means of hexane, ethyl acetate, butanol, and water. According to the present invention, by containing the Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larva or the fraction thereof as the active ingredient, it is possible to provide the anticancer composition.
